SiMa.ai, the machine learning company enabling high performance compute at the lowest power, today announced that Gopal Hegde joined the company as a senior vice president to lead the engineering and operations teams. His leadership will be instrumental as the company scales from the architecture development phase to production, while also building out the engineering organization and operations to grow the company.
Hegde brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership and engineering positions at startups and large public companies, including Cavium (acquired by Marvell), Calxeda, Cisco, Intel, and Acclaim Communications (acquired by Level One/Intel). He is a highly technical, results-oriented leader with a stellar track record in developing world-class products and increasing revenues to computer science engineering while incubating new and scaling existing products. Throughout his career, Gopal has demonstrated excellence in establishing new businesses in target markets and leveraging workload/solution specific domain expertise to develop and deliver products that meet key customer requirements.
